The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Common Premises Associate in Manama, Bahrain. The selected candidate will support the management of the United Nations House and shared services operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of UN facilities and common services.
The role includes supporting budget management, logistics, asset administration, maintenance coordination, and the delivery of shared services for resident United Nations agencies in Bahrain. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple UN entities to ensure efficient facility management and operational effectiveness.

Duties & responsibilities
- Support the management and day-to-day operations of the United Nations House in Bahrain.
- Monitor maintenance, cleaning, facilities, and general service operations.
- Assist in budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with government entities, vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Manage assets, inventory records, and annual stocktaking processes.
- Monitor service and maintenance contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prepare periodic administrative and financial reports.
- Support cost-recovery mechanisms among participating UN agencies.
- Maintain and archive records related to facilities management and common services.
- Contribute to the development of operational procedures and the improvement of service efficiency.
Eligibility criteria
- High school diploma with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in administration, logistics, facilities management, or related operational functions.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, service providers, and external partners.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and database management.
- Experience with electronic administrative systems is considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and operational management skills.
Note: This position is open to Bahraini nationals. Non-Bahraini applicants may also apply provided they possess a valid residency permit and work authorization in Bahrain.
