UNICEF is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Programme Officer in its field office in Gaziantep, Türkiye. The selected candidate will support Child Protection and Education programmes in Southeast Türkiye, with a particular focus on refugee and host communities, helping to improve access to quality education and essential services for vulnerable children.
The Programme Officer will provide technical and operational support for programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The role also involves strengthening partnerships with municipalities, government institutions, and local partners to ensure the effective delivery of services and sustainable results for children and their families.

Duties & responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Education and Child Protection programmes.
- Collect, analyze, and manage programme data and prepare periodic reports.
- Contribute to knowledge management activities and the documentation of lessons learned and best practices.
- Monitor the implementation of partnerships and multi-sectoral projects.
- Track programme expenditures and support the efficient use of financial resources.
- Conduct field visits to monitor activities and assess programme results.
- Support capacity-building efforts for local partners and government institutions.
- Coordinate collaboration with municipalities, government counterparts, and partner organizations.
- Prepare briefing notes, reference materials, technical reports, and other programme documentation.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Development, or a related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in programme or project management.
- Experience working in humanitarian or development settings.
- Experience in programme planning, coordination, monitoring, and implementation.
- Ability to manage and support multi-sectoral programmes and partnerships.
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
