Opportunity description
The World Health Organization (WHO) is offering a virtual volunteering opportunity through the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme to support the Sudan Health Assistance and Response to Emergencies (SHARE) project in Sudan. Volunteers will work with the Programme Management Team at the WHO Sudan Country Office to assist in the preparation of funding proposals and donor reports, contributing to the implementation of health programmes and humanitarian response efforts across the country.

Duties & responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of a donor funding proposal for the project.
- Collect, compile, and coordinate technical inputs from relevant programme teams.
- Draft, review, and refine project-related technical documents.
- Prepare the semi-annual technical report for the SHARE project.
- Review and proofread reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with technical and administrative teams to complete required documentation within established deadlines.
Eligibility criteria
- At least 2 years of experience in preparing funding proposals, grant applications, or technical reports.
- Excellent English writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop high-quality reports, proposals, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and proofreading documents.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience with the United Nations, international organizations, or humanitarian agencies is considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multicultural and international teams.
