The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is offering a career opportunity in Ankara for the position of Senior Project Associate (Training) under the project “Providing Employment Opportunities and Socio-Economic Inclusion to Support the Transition to Formal Employment in Türkiye.” The selected candidate will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of training and capacity-building activities, contributing to employment promotion and the social inclusion of migrants, refugees, and vulnerable populations.

The role involves close coordination with government institutions, local and international partners, and project stakeholders, as well as organizing training courses, workshops, and other learning activities that support the project's objectives.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage project-related data and reports.
  • Monitor project budgets and recommend necessary adjustments when required.
  • Coordinate administrative processes with different units and external partners.
  • Prepare progress reports, official correspondence, and presentation materials.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, training sessions, and other project events.
  • Develop training materials and support the delivery of capacity-building activities.
  • Coordinate with government institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Monitor the performance of implementing partners and report any issues or non-compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and new project initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members when required.

Eligibility criteria

  • High school diploma with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience coordinating with government institutions, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Good knowledge of migration management, particularly labour migration and livelihood programmes.
  • Familiarity with United Nations programmes and international donor-funded initiatives.
  • Experience in project and programme management.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
