About the course:

Future Learn is offering an online course on Teaching Migrants and Refugees. This course is will be useful for anyone working with migrants and refugees in an educational context. In this course, you will learn how to teach and support young people across the globe dealing with trauma caused by violence, conflict, or displacement. This course will be presented by experienced teachers talking about the strategies they have used when teaching migrant and refugee learners in both countries affected by conflict and host countries. [4] The importance of challenging discrimination and promoting inclusive classrooms which foster collaborative learning.

[5] The learning and behavioral needs of primary and secondary learners who have experienced trauma, displacement, and conflict.

[6] The effects of loss, trauma, and displacement on the brain and how this knowledge can help teachers to understand learning difficulties and challenging behavior.
