<p>&Oacute; Bh&eacute;al invites poets from all over the world to participate in the <strong>International Poetry-Film&nbsp;</strong><a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Competition</strong></a>.&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>About The Competition:&nbsp;</strong></h3><p>Since 2013, &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al has been affiliated with the IndieCork Festival of Independent Cinema &amp; Music, to bring the &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al International Poetry-film Competition, screening the shortlist of thirty films and awarding one winner the &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al/IndieCork prize for best poetry-film. Shortlisted poetry-films since 2012 are also shown every week at &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al, before the event begins. Poetry-film programs curated by &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al have also appeared at Cyclops Poetry-Film Festival in Kiev and at the Clare Island Film Festival.&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>Competition Rules:&nbsp;</strong></h3><ul><li>Films must interpret, or convey a poem which must be present in its entirety.</li><li>Films completed no earlier than August 2017.&nbsp;</li><li>Films may not exceed 10 minutes in duration.&nbsp;</li><li>Poet may submit as many entries as he like.</li><li>Non-English language films will require English subtitles.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3><strong>Required Documents:&nbsp;</strong></h3><p>Poet must include the following information in an attached word document:</p><ul><li>Name and duration of Film</li><li>Name of the director</li><li>Country of origin</li><li>Contact details</li><li>Name of Poet</li><li>Name of the Poem</li><li>Synopsis</li><li>Filmmaker biography</li><li>And a Link to download a high-resolution version of the film</li></ul><p>If a poet is sending a Vimeo or youtube link, etc, then he must ensure that the download button is enabled.</p><h3><strong>About &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al:&nbsp;</strong></h3><p>&Oacute; Bh&eacute;al is Cork&rsquo;s weekly poetry event, featuring poetry-films, a poetry challenge, guest poets. &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al hosts the annual Winter Warmer poetry festival each November and curates two International competitions: The Five Words poetry competition and the &Oacute; Bh&eacute;al/IndieCork International Poetry-Film competition.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants">grants</a> on For9a</strong></p><p><strong>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Events-Festivals-and-Conferences">events and conferences</a> on For9a</strong></p>
