Depict Short Film <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards">Competition</a> is now available for creative filmmakers all over the world where they can think creatively to make a film in 90 seconds or under. Depict has been uncovering new filmmaking talent for nineteen years &ndash; showing incredible originality, fantastic imagination and a minute and a half of pure entertainment.<h3 dir="ltr">About the Competition:</h3>This competition aims to collect great films no matter what your budget is or what genre you&rsquo;re working in. The competition is open to anyone from anywhere in the world, and entry is absolutely free &nbsp;but your film must be 90 seconds or less in duration.<ul><li dir="ltr"> </li></ul>

All shortlisted films get:<ul><li dir="ltr">Film exposure and promotion through depict.org, at Encounters Film Festival and through associated partners</li><li dir="ltr">An Encounters Festival Network Delegates pass with all the trimmings, including tickets to the popular Depict Showcase and the prestigious Encounters Awards Ceremony</li><li dir="ltr">Half price Shooting People membership for the shortlisted filmmakers.</li><li dir="ltr">Main Depict 2020 Award worth &pound;1500 cash + Lifetime membership to Shooting People.</li><li dir="ltr">Depict Royal Photographic Society Cinematography Award worth &pound;1000 cash.</li><li dir="ltr">Depict 2020 British Award which is a special package of support which will both promote the winning 90-second film and further develop the filmmaker&rsquo;s skills including:<ul><li dir="ltr">A tailored package of industry support from the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), including a mentoring session and 6 month&rsquo;s free access to BAFTA&rsquo;s Learning &amp; Events programme.</li><li dir="ltr">Access to some key BAFTA events.</li><li dir="ltr">A place on a short course at the National Film and Television School in 2019, subject to availability</li><li dir="ltr">Exposure on the BFI NETWORK industry platform, a one to one with Head of BFI NETWORK Jessica Loveland and a discounted pass to the BFI London Film Festival.</li><li dir="ltr">Lifetime membership to Shooting People.</li></ul></li><li dir="ltr">Depict Random Acts Award: A mentoring session with Channel 4 Random Acts commissioning editor Shaminder Nahal.</li></ul>

<ul><li dir="ltr">Must be 90 seconds or under.</li><li dir="ltr">Must be completed after January 2019.</li></ul>Terms and Conditions:-<ul><li dir="ltr">The duration of your film(s) must not exceed 90 seconds including titles and credits.</li><li dir="ltr">Depict is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work. Advertisements are not accepted.</li><li dir="ltr">Only films completed since January 2019 may be submitted. Whilst&nbsp;Depict&nbsp;does not have a premiere policy, it positively encourage entries made specifically for Depict.</li><li dir="ltr">The maximum number of entries per individual is five.</li><li dir="ltr">The primary contact completing the submission process must be authorised to submit the film(s) and must have obtained necessary permissions for the inclusion of copyrighted music and/or images within the films.</li><li dir="ltr">If the original language is not English, please ensure that the film includes English subtitles.</li><li dir="ltr">If your film(s) is /are shortlisted, you will be asked to promptly send in a high resolution version of your film for online use on depict.org, connected social media channels and screening at Encounters Film Festival (September 2020). You will also need to supply publicity stills, a synopsis and a bio.</li><li dir="ltr">Please note that only the director(s) will be credited on the website and any other promotional material. In the case of shortlisted and/or winning co-directors, multiple prizes may be granted at the discretion of the organisers.</li><li dir="ltr">The Depict British Special Mention Award is open to UK productions only. Films are only eligible if they have a substantial British contribution in the following areas: director, producer, writer, principal cast and crew, production company, finance.
