<p>The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Azhar University in <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/opportunity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Egypt</a> is offering a 5 years <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bachelor's</a> program in Pharmacy for those interested in obtaining broad knowledge in the field of pharmacology.</p><h2><strong>Program Overview</strong></h2><p>The Faculty of Pharmacy seeks through its various departments to be recognized nationally and regionally for innovation in pharmaceutical education and research and to contribute to the development of the pharmaceutical industry sector in Egypt.</p><p>Not to mention that the main mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy is to prepare a pharmacist with various knowledge and skills in formulation and industrialization of different pharmaceutical dosage forms. While the faculty's main concern is to promote research work to solve industrial problems and to develop pharmaceutical products.</p><p>Through the Bachelor's in Pharmacy program, the Faculty of Pharmacy aims to achieve the following strategic goals and objectives:</p><ul><li>Graduating distinguished and competent pharmacists who can compete in the labor market.</li><li>Achieving institutional excellence for the faculty and quality in performance.</li><li>Raising the faculty efficiency and effectiveness in graduate studies and promoting meaningful scientific research.</li><li>Supporting community partnership and environmental development.</li><li>Providing a university environment that supports the profession's values, principles, and ethics.</li></ul><h2><strong>Admission Requirements</strong></h2><p>International students are admitted to the faculty of Pharmacy under the following rules:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Students who obtained an Al-Azhar secondary certificate or its equivalent with an average of not less than 70%.</li><li>International students who obtained an Al-Azhar secondary certificate or its equivalent are accepted to this program with the following priority:</li></ul><ol><li>Students from Palestine/ Jordan/ Iraq/ Tunisia/ Algeria/ Sudan/ Qatar/ Saudi Arabia/ Lebanon/ Yemen.</li><li>Students of other nationalities.</li></ol><ul><li>The applicant's certificate must qualify him to enroll in the universities of the issuing country, and this will be confirmed through official letters exchanged between the Egyptian cultural advisor in the certificate-issuing country and the cultural advisor of this country in Egypt.</li><li>Fulfillment of the compulsory qualifying subjects and the admission conditions for the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Azhar University.</li><li>Passing the Arabic language placement test for non-Arabic speaking international students. In case of failure in the test, the student will be placed in the Arabic Language Teaching Center for a year, after that he can proceed to study his main specialization.</li></ul><h2><strong>Course Structure</strong></h2><p>The Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at Al-Azhar University is a 5 years program with <strong>200 credit hours</strong> divided into 10 semesters, with each semester being no year, for not less than <strong>300 hours</strong>, under the supervision of faculty members.&nbsp;</p><p>The student’s interruption from training, whether temporary or permanent, leads to not being awarded a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.&nbsp;</p><p>The director of the pharmaceutical institution will also be referred to, to obtain proof that the student has spent the entire training period and accomplished his training.</p><h3><strong>Complementary Courses</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>English Language (CC111):</strong> 1-hour theoretical course for 1 semester. The English Language course is taught by faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmacy who have obtained their <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/PhD" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ph.D.</a> degrees from an English-speaking country.</li><li><strong>Computer and Mathematics (CC112):</strong> 2-hour theoretical and 1 practical hour course for 1 semester. This course will be assigned to faculty members from one of the university's colleges or other Egyptian universities.</li><li><strong>Medical Terminology (CC123):</strong> 1-hour theoretical course for 1 semester. This course is taught by faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy.</li></ul><h2><strong>Tuition Fees</strong></h2><p>The annual tuition fee for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Al-Azhar University is estimated at 1,500 pounds, (approximately <strong>1,700 US dollars</strong>.)</p><p>The student must also pay the registration fee (payable only once at the first registration), which is estimated at 1,500 pounds (approximately <strong>1,700 US dollars</strong>.)</p>
