<p>Ford Foundation is offering <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>grants&nbsp;</strong></a>to support artist-driven film and new media storytelling projects that explore aspects of inequality, as well as the organizations and networks that support these projects.&nbsp;</p><h3>Evaluation Criteria:</h3><p>All projects submitted for JustFilms grants will be judged on the basis of</p><ul><li>Artistic excellence</li><li>Contemporary relevance</li><li>Potential for strategic impact</li><li>Alignment with Ford priorities</li><li>Potential to transform stereotypes, beliefs, and value systems</li><li>Creativity and innovation in form</li><li>Focus on vulnerable population</li></ul><h3>The Announcement of the winner:</h3><ul><li>Please note that the foundation has very limited staffing and therefore regret that it cannot respond to each applicant directly.&nbsp;</li><li>They do not have the capacity to respond individually to phone calls or e-mails asking about the status of your application.</li><li>Upon review of your materials by Ford staff, you may receive an invitation for a full proposal.&nbsp;</li><li>If you do not hear from JustFilms within 30 business days of submitting your application, your project has not advanced in consideration.&nbsp;</li><li>If you are contacted for further information, the entire review and decision process may take between 30 and 50 business days, given a number of variables specific to each grant.</li></ul><h3>About the project:</h3><p>Your inquiry Letter should include:</p><ul><li>How does your project align with the foundation’s social justice mission and thematic areas of work? Include specific examples.</li><li>If your proposal is for film or new media content:&nbsp;</li></ul><ol><li>Is your project independently produced?</li><li>Does the final editorial control lie with the filmmaker or project team?</li></ol><ul><li>Is your project designed to question or reframe mainstream discourse or stereotypes around your subject? Please describe how your project might transform existing beliefs and values.</li><li>Is your project designed to aesthetically expand or experiment with film or new media storytelling genres? If so, how?</li></ul><h3>Funds:</h3><ul><li>JustFilms accepts letters of inquiry for grants year round, averaging between 800 and 1,000 inquiries.&nbsp;</li><li>The funds are limited, and they are able to support only a small percentage of these projects through direct grants.&nbsp;</li></ul><h1>About Ford</h1><h3>About:</h3><p>The Ford Foundation believe in the inherent dignity of all people.
