Young people across the Arab world make study and career decisions based on what For9a publishes. This page explains where that information comes from, how we verify it, and how we correct it when we get it wrong.
Where the opportunities come from
Listings come from three places: official announcements published by funders, universities and institutions; submissions sent directly by organisations through their accounts on the platform; and research carried out by our content team in official sources.
We do not publish an opportunity without a link to its official source. That link appears on every opportunity page under the application steps, so any reader can go back to the original announcement and check it themselves.
How we verify an opportunity
Our content team reviews every listing before it is published: an identifiable awarding body, a working official link, clear eligibility criteria and deadline, and funding details that match the original announcement.
We reject opportunities that charge a fee to apply or to be accepted, and any announcement that cannot be traced back to an official source.
Who writes the content
Articles written by an individual author are credited to them by name and link to their profile on the platform. Content produced collectively by the editorial team — application guides and category pages, for example — is credited to For9a as an organisation, not to a person.
How we keep content current
Every article carries its publication date and the date of its last substantive update. We do not change those dates unless the content actually changed.
Opportunities tied to recurring programmes are reviewed each cycle. When applications close, the page stays available with a clear notice that it has closed, alongside links to the next edition or to similar open opportunities.
Corrections
If you find an inaccuracy, a broken link or a wrong deadline, email info@for9a.com with the page URL. We review the report, correct the error, and update the last-modified date when the change is substantive.
Independence
Advertising and partnerships do not influence whether an opportunity is published or how it ranks in on-site search. Any sponsored content is clearly labelled.
