<p>Bournemouth University is offering students who are high-level sporting athletes to apply for 45-50 undergraduate or postgraduate <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">scholarships&nbsp;</a>for 2019-2020. The scholarship is designed to provide you with the funding you need to develop your sporting abilities and take them to the next level.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants">grants</a> on For9a</strong></p><h3>Eligibility criteria:</h3><ol><li>You must demonstrate excellence in your chosen sport, and be part of a Regional, National and/or International squad and compete at that level</li><li>Athletes receiving a scholarship will ideally represent BU in the BUCS program (League and Individual), as well as themselves and/or their club at regional, national or international level</li><li>Individual athletes will also need to be competitive with top performers within the BUCS program</li><li>Any UK/EU or an international applicant applying for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course delivered at BU</li><li>Be a high performing sportsperson and have the desire to continue to develop in the sporting arena, as well as academically</li><li>If you are awarded a scholarship, you will need to meet with the Sports Performance Manager to assess how the funds will help you throughout the year, commit to attending 75% of training sessions, represent BU in sporting competitions where possible to raise the profile of SportBU&rsquo;s activities and to be featured in marketing materials</li><li>As part of your application for a BU Sport Scholarship, you will have to attend our trial process and be assessed by our coach</li><li>You must ensure your application is supported by a reference<a href="https://app-eu.geckoform.com/public/#/modern/FOEU0230gQU118wb"></a> from a High-Performance Coach or National Governing Body coach/ If you are applying for a sport that sits outside our performance BUCS program, you will need to ensure that two references are sent alongside your application</li></ol><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/PhD">Phd scholarships</a> on For9a</strong></p><h3>Scholarship amount:</h3><p>You can apply for up to <strong>&pound;5,000&nbsp;</strong>of funding and put this money towards coaching, equipment, competition entry fees, travel expenses or/or support services.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>See more <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/country/Canada">opportunities in Canada</a> available on For9a</strong></p>
