Win Value Prizes up to 5000$ in Painting Competition from Pastel Journal

Artists Network offers an annual painting competition sponsored by Pastel Journal for pastel artists around the world, talented winners of this competition will receive cash, prizes, and publicity. Winners will be featured in the April 2020 issue of Pastel Journal.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Applicant must send all entries online as digital files.
2. Sending images as JPG files.
3. Keeping the file size under 5 MB.
4. Work must be at least 80% soft pastel; no oil pastel.
5. All works must be original.
6. Compositions based on published material or other artists’ work are NOT considered original and are not eligible.
7. Employees of any sponsoring organization or their immediate families may not enter.
8. Work previously published in a national publication or receiving an award at a national-level exhibition at the time of submission to this contest is not eligible.
   Note: All countries can apply in this competition except Syria and Sudan.

Prizes

Five top prizes:

1. First Prize, Pastel Journal Founder’s Award in memory of Maggie Price (5000$).
2. Second Prize, Pastel Journal Award of Excellence (2500$).
3. Third Prize, Ruth Richeson Pastel GOLD Award (Pastels and Pastel surfaces, valued over $1,500).
4. Fourth Prize, Richeson Pastel SILVER Award (Pastels and Pastel surfaces, valued over $1,000).
5. Fifth Prize, Richeson Pastel BRONZE Award (Pastels and Pastel surfaces, valued over $ 750).

Categories Prizes:

1. 5 First Place Category Awards—$500 worth of Terry Ludwig Pastels.
2. 5 Second Place Category Awards—$350 worth of Great American pastels.
3. 5 Third Place Category Awards—$150 worth of Holbein pastels.
4. 5 Fourth Place Category Awards—$100 worth of PanPastels.
5. 5 Fifth Place Category Awards—$75 worth of UART pastel paper.

Notes:

1. There are 30$ fees.
2. Participation in this competition is available to all countries except Syria and Sudan.
3. There is no specified number of participated images.
4. All top prize winners and place winners will receive features in Pastel Journal (April 2020 issue).
