الهيئة العربية للمسرح

The Arab Theatre Institute is a non-governmental and non-profit Arab organization dedicated to Arab theatre affairs. It was founded in 2007 through an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. Its permanent headquarters and General Secretariat are located in the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The Institute works to support and develop Arab theatre, strengthen its cultural and enlightening role, and organize initiatives, awards, and festivals that encourage theatrical creativity in the fields of playwriting, directing, acting, research, and theatre criticism. The Institute also has a close relationship with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization.
