The Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) is a French public research institution that supports scientific research, innovation, and sustainable development, with a particular focus on Mediterranean countries and tropical regions. IRD also participates in initiatives that connect scientific research with innovation and policymaking, including FORUM MED IA, which aims to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence among Mediterranean countries and support solutions that address the region’s challenges.
