About the organization

The Klassik Stiftung Weimar was established on 1 January 2003 when the Stiftung Weimarer Klassik was merged with the Weimar Art Collections. It comprises a unique ensemble of cultural landmarks. With more than 27 museums, castles, historical residences, parks, and literature collections, the foundation is one of the largest and most important cultural institutions in Germany. Its goal is to be an effective center of culture, the arts, sciences, and education in Germany and around the world.
