Opportunity description

Anthology is pleased to invite writers of any nationality from all over the world to the Anthology Short Story Competition 2023 which has been established to recognize and encourage creative writing and provide a platform for publication.

Benefits

If you are among the winners, you will have one of the following prizes:
  • First Prize:
    • €1,000
    • A chance to see your work published in a future issue of Anthology.
    • One-year subscription to Anthology.
  • Second Pirze: €250
  • Third Pirze: €150

Eligibility criteria

You should follow the following criteria:

  • The competition is open to original and previously unpublished short stories, written in English.
  • Stories submitted must not exceed the maximum of 1,500 words.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.
  • Each submission will require a separate entry form and is subject to a separate entry fee.
  • There is no restriction on theme or style.
  • There is no age limit.
  • Submission of a written piece implies the author’s acceptance of the rules and conditions.

Please note: 

  • Prize money will be paid on the publication of the winning Short Story in Anthology Magazine.
  • Standard fee: €18 – until 31 August 2023.

Selection Process:

Your submissions will be judged based on:

  • Literary merit.
  • Originality.
  • Readability.
