DFG – German Research Foundation

DFG – German Research Foundation, or Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, is the largest research funding organization in Germany and the central self-governing body for supporting science and academic research. The foundation funds research projects across all disciplines and supports researchers at different stages of their academic careers through individual and collaborative programs, such as the Walter Benjamin Programme for postdoctoral researchers. DFG also contributes to strengthening research quality, international cooperation, and the development of the research environment at German universities and research institutions.
