Opportunity description

In an effort to further support students research and higher education in the medical and science-related field, Creative Biolabs has announced its 2019 Scholarship Program for awarding $1,000 to an outstanding college student. 

Eligibility:

The Creative Biolabs scholarship is open for worldwide. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. student at an accredited college or university.
  • Majors in a science related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology, are encouraged.
  • Earn a cumulative average grade of a B (3.0 GPA).

Selection Criteria:

Creative Biolabs Selection Committee will review each application fairly and carefully in accordance with the following criteria:

  • Academic ability: In addition to GPA, Creative Biolabs also take the applicant's detailed learning plan into account.
  • Leadership: Ability to organize and positively influence others in and out of school.
  • Social concerns: Purposeful and meaningful participation in volunteer, community service or other public service activities.

Selection Procedure:

Phase One: students should complete the following process:

  • Fill out the online scholarship application form.
  • Select their favorite one from 6 science-related topics in the application form and submit a written essay of 800-1,000 words with their own penetrate understanding.
  • The essay should be totally original and grammatically right.

Phase Two: 6 candidates should select one from the other 5 topics (must be different from the first phase’s topic) and submit a PPT of 10-12 pages or a video for at least 5 minutes about the topic they choose:

  • PPT or video should be totally original.
  • A detailed and clear lecture note is required for each page/frame.

At last, one winner will be selected and rewarded by Creative Biolabs for $1000 in terms of the content that the applicant had submitted.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. One applicant can submit the application form once only.
  2. The winner will be notified by email and also announced online on August 1, 2019.
  3. The scholarship will be awarded to support the winner’s listed university in the application for the awarded semester.
  4. Applicants may apply the scholarship no more than once per the calendar year.
  5. Any student who is currently enrolled/accepted at a college or university is eligible to apply (undergraduate, graduate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctor's degree).
  6. By submitting an essay, an applicant is giving Creative Biolabs the permission to publish the work on its website and through any of it's existing social media outlets, and he also agrees to receive information from Creative Biolabs.
  7. The scholarship winner will be determined by a selection committee.
  8. Creative Biolabs will not share any personal information of applicants, and all information will be treated with strict confidentiality and will not be sold or disclosed to a third party.
  9. Employees of Creative Biolabs and family members are not eligible for this scholarship.
