Opportunity description

The University of Edinburgh offers a number of scholarships for online learning Masters programs for the academic year2021.


Eligibility criteria

Eligibility

  • The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission on to the MSc Surgical Sciences (Online Learning) and ChM (Online Learning) General Surgery, Urology, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Vascular & Endovascular (click here to apply).
  • Applicants must be resident in a country listed in the World Bank list of low income /lower middle income countries.

Requested Documents

  • Basic Medical Degree (MBChB or equivalent), as recognized by the General Medical Council.
  • Degree Transcript for your basic medical degree.
  • Details of one referee. Applicants will have to enter their referee’s email address on the online form; the system will then email your referee automatically. Applicant's reference should include the following:
    1. Title and position of referee.
    2. How long they have known the applicant and in what capacity.
    3. Their opinion of the applicant's ability to manage the study required on this program.
    4. Any additional information they feel is useful.
  • A personal statement that confirms that the applicant is continuing their learning in a supervised clinical environment. The personal statement must include the applicant's level of training, current employment and Other study commitments as applicants should not be undertaking any other postgraduate courses.
  • proof of English language proficiency. (IELTS or TOFEL certificate).

Any language qualification test must be dated within two years of the start date of the program and meet the minimum required score.
