INTO and Newcastle University offer academic scholarships for gifted international students to help them achieve their goals of studying at a world-class university in the UK. With a range of generous scholarships on offer for the highest-achieving students, you could be eligible to receive up to £20,000 towards your tuition fees.

Do I qualify for a scholarship?

To find out whether you are eligible to apply, you’ll need to take a look at the requirements for each individual scholarship. If you are not eligible for one particular scholarship, there may be another that you can apply for instead. Please be aware that successful scholarship holders will be expected to:

  1. Successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course
  2. Maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course

What types of scholarship are available?

  1. International Foundation Scholarship: There are limited scholarships available to students who hold an offer for an International Foundation course at INTO Newcastle University.
    • Course: International Foundation
    • Start dates: June 2019, September 2019 or January 2020
    • Maximum value: £20,000
    • Eligibility:
      • Students must have an unconditional offer for an International Foundation pathway course at INTO Newcastle University.
      • Each scholarship is to the value of £20,000 or £10,000. You’ll receive the scholarship in two parts:
        1. £10,000 or £5,000 will be deducted from your International Foundation tuition fees.
        2. £10,000 or £5,000 will be paid towards your Year 1 tuition fees at Newcastle University.
      • To get the second part of the scholarship you must successfully progress to a degree course at Newcastle University. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount, once you successfully progress from your INTO Newcastle programme.
  2. Regional Scholarship: If you're starting an academic pathway at INTO Newcastle University, you could be eligible for a scholarship to help towards your tuition fees.
    • Course: Graduate Diploma, International Foundation and International Year One
    • Start dates: June 2019, September 2019 and January 2020
    • Maximum value: £2,500
    • Eligibility: All scholarships are awarded on merit.

How much money is on offer?

The amount of money available through scholarships can vary. Remember that a scholarship will only cover some of your tuition fees. You will still have to fund your remaining tuition fees and your accommodation, insurance, visa and other living costs in full.
