Opportunity description

The University of Cambridge is inviting students with physical or sensory disabilities who wish to undertake Masters Degree programs at the university in 2021, to apply for the Snowdon Cambridge Scholarship. The scholarship, funded by Snowdon Trust, aims to give a small number of exceptionally talented disabled people an opportunity to achieve their true potential and help them excel in a Masters's degree course that will make a difference to both their own futures and to the lives of others. It aims to help to change lives and create better opportunities for disabled learners.

Benefits:

The value of the scholarship is up to £30,000. The scholarship award will fund some or all of the Master's course fees as well as provide a generous maintenance allowance towards living expenses for the duration of the course.

Eligibility

Applicants must be persons with physical or sensory disabilities. Ideal candidates would be those with:

  • A real passion for their subject and for learning.
  • Outstanding talent and originality in their chosen field which is recognized by others.
  • Determination to succeed and to overcome obstacles.
  • Potential to become a leader in their field and to set an example for others to follow; and
  • A strong desire to help improve the lives of others.
