<p><span><strong>The Alfred Fried Photography Award</strong> recognizes and promotes photographers from all over the world whose pictures capture human efforts towards a peaceful world and the quest for beauty and goodness in our lives. The award goes to those photographs that best express the idea that our future lies in peaceful coexistence.All winners will be invited to Vienna to the award ceremony at the Austrian Parliament on 12 September 2019.</span></p><h3><span><strong>About The Award:</strong></span></h3><p><span>As many important photography awards focus on the conflicts and crises, the wars and catastrophes on our planet, professional awards do not normally highlight what other things humans are capable of. The Alfred Fried Photography Award, launched in 2013, fills this gap: it shows the various facets of peacefulness. It completes the image of humans by adding their good sides. It honors the pictures which tell about successes rather than failures; of empathy rather than hatred; of things worth preserving rather than destruction; of encouragement rather than agony; and of the human right to beauty.</span></p><h3><span><strong>Eligibility Criteria:</strong></span></h3><p>1.All nationalities and ages are encouraged to apply for this prize.</p><p>2.No educational background is required.</p><h3><span><strong>Terms and Conditions:</strong></span></h3><ol><li>Image size should not be less that 3000px.</li><li>Participants can submit single images or a project containing a group of images that share the same theme/story.</li><li>Images must portray the idea of peace and the human efforts working to achieve it.</li><li>Participants can submit from 1-50 projects.</li><li>Images inside the projects can vary from 1-20.</li><li>Images must be JPG.</li><li>Images should not contain texts,logos or borders.</li><li>Each image must be described in English with not more than 2000 words.</li><li>Participants must include in the application a description of the project,title and image title.</li><li>Submitted images must not older than 3 years.</li></ol><h3><span><strong>The Prize:</strong></span></h3><p>The Peace Image of the Year will receive &euro; 10,000. The winning picture will be on display for one year at the Austrian Parliament and will be included in the permanent art collection of the Austrian Parliament. The top five listed photographers will be awarded the Alfred Fried Peace Medal.</p><h3><span>About Alfred Fried</span></h3><p>Alfred Herman Fried (was born on 11 November 1864.
