<p>Inspired by authors, informed by algorithms, and connected by over a million readers and writers worldwide, Inkitt is opening a new chapter for your short stories. Inkitt&rsquo;s Short Story <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Contest</strong></a> gives authors the opportunity to share their short stories and showcase their talent with readers worldwide.</p><h3>Competition Terms:</h3><ul><li>The winners will be selected every month.</li><li>The word count should be between approximately 5,000 and 10,000 words.</li><li>Winning authors cannot enter the contest more than once with the same short story.</li><li>Likes will be reset at the end of the month so we can decide our winners, and ensure contest entries are fair for all</li><li>We will collect data on your submission from the day you join until the contest&#39;s end date.</li><li>Contests are not genre-specific, but fanfiction will not be accepted</li><li>You may submit multiple entries over multiple months</li><li>Short stories must be in English</li><li>You must own the rights to your short story</li><li>Previously or currently self-published books are accepted</li><li>You retain all rights to your stories while posted on Inkitt</li><li>All non-winning entrants will roll over into the next month unless they leave the contest or win.</li></ul><h3>Prize:</h3><ul><li>1st Prize: $150 cash, a badge for your book cover and a feature on all of Inkitt&rsquo;s social media pages!</li><li>2nd Prize: $50 cash prize</li><li>3rd place: $30 cash prize</li></ul><h3>About Inkitt:</h3><p>Inkitt is a publishing house with over 33,000 authors, over a million readers on the platform.
