Opportunity description

Tripoli Startup Forum 2018 is the 3rd annual exhibition for North Lebanon Startups and the entrepreneurship ecosystem institutions. The Theme for this year is "The Road towards a Startup Ecosystem". In 2017, the forum attracted 1000+ invited attendees and 50+ exhibitors: startups based in North Lebanon as well as support institutions, incubators, and accelerators, such as Kafalat, iSME, LLWB, Smart ESA, and Speed@BDD. As a result of the positive feedback and high engagement from last year, Tripoli Startup Forum will expand this year in size and content. We anticipate 1200 attendees from all over Lebanon, with over 60 exhibitors. Tripoli Startup Forum 2018 will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Rachid Karami International Fair-Tripoli. The event will feature the following main activities:

[1] The Conference which includes:

- Panels & Talks: The conference will be hosting more than 20 speakers and influencers from the field of entrepreneurship and business world to share their expertise and knowledge. Key Topics to tackle in Panels will be around: Funding Supply & Demand, Shifting Mindset, Technology Trends & Gaps.

- Workshops: Several workshops will be running during the day. Last year the workshops were such as: Access to finance, Your first mobile application, The road to Mastering UX & UI, Conquer the fear of public speaking, and Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship.

[2] The Exhibition:

Around 40 startups from North Lebanon will be exhibiting at the forum in addition to more than 35 different entities supporting the startup ecosystem such as accelerators, incubators, venture capital, banks, financial institutions, educational institutions, and NGOs.

[3] The Pitching Festival:

10 teams - Finalists of Startup Seeds Program 3.0 will be pitching their business ideas to a Jury and the audience. 3 winners will be announced at the end of the event.
