Opportunity description
The Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI) is now accepting applications for its 2027 International Leadership Program, a fully funded program that brings together young people from different countries in San Diego, United States, with the aim of developing their skills in leadership, international cooperation, peacebuilding, mediation, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
The program focuses on preparing a new generation of young leaders who are capable of building bridges between different communities and cultures, addressing conflicts, and promoting mutual understanding and international cooperation.
The 2027 program will take place from June 29 to July 20, 2027. Participants are required to attend the entire program, with no late arrivals or early departures permitted.

Eligibility criteria
To apply for the 2027 program, applicants must:
Be between 20 and 25 years old as of July 1, 2027; applicants must have turned 20 but must not have reached their 26th birthday by that date.
Have completed at least one year of college or university education at the time of application.
Currently enrolled university students are eligible to apply.
Applicants who are not currently students must be recent graduates from the classes of 2025 or 2026.
Have a sufficient level of English proficiency to participate effectively in the program; English proficiency will be verified through the applicant’s academic reference.
Commit to attending the entire program from June 29 to July 20, 2027.
