Opportunity description
As part of the international awards and competitions in architecture, design, and urban creativity, Young Architects Competitions (YAC), in collaboration with the Municipality of Marradi, Italy, has launched the House of Poetry competition, inviting designers, architects, and creatives to submit innovative architectural visions for redesigning the home of Italian poet Dino Campana and transforming it into a museum and contemporary cultural space.
The competition focuses on creating a place that preserves the poet’s memory and legacy while also serving as a space for education, inspiration, and welcoming writers, poetry enthusiasts, and new generations of creatives. The goal goes beyond creating a traditional museum; it seeks to develop a space that generates cultural and social value while helping establish Marradi as a center of interest for contemporary poetry.
Benefits
The total value of the cash prizes is €15,000, distributed as follows:
First Place: €8,000.
Second Place: €4,000.
Third Place: €2,000.
Gold Mention: Two awards of €500 each.
10 Honorable Mentions.
30 projects will be selected as Finalists.
Eligibility criteria
The competition is open to designers, architects, students, graduates, and individuals interested in architectural design.
Participants may enter individually or as part of a team, in accordance with the competition rules.
Under the general rules for YAC competitions of this type, each team must include at least one participant between 18 and 35 years old. Individual participants must also fall within this age range.
Not all team members are required to be professional architects or members of a professional association.
The competition is international and allows participants from around the world to develop their projects using the materials and files provided by YAC.
