Island Literary Journal is excited to announce its call for submissions for poetry, short stories, art, and photography. This competition offers writers and artists from various backgrounds across the globe an opportunity to showcase their talents on a renowned platform. With no entry fees, it’s a unique chance for participants to gain worldwide recognition without any financial barriers.
Competition Details
- Island Lit welcomes submissions from international writers from all backgrounds, including first-time writers.
- Short Stories: Submit one story, up to 5000 words, as a Word document and include the word count within.
- Poetry: You may submit up to four poems, included in one Word document. (Currently closed for submissions).
- Art and Photography: Submit up to four pieces, with each being high-resolution JPEGs.
- All poetry and short story submissions must be previously unpublished, which includes blogs and websites.
- Translations are accepted provided the translator has secured copyright permission.
- Simultaneous submissions are accepted, however, notification is required if accepted elsewhere.
- Entrants must include a bio (maximum 50 words) within the email body.
