King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announces the availability of admission opportunities for non-Saudi students through several tracks. These include external scholarships for international students residing outside the Kingdom, internal scholarships for non-Saudi students residing inside Saudi Arabia, in addition to paid bachelor’s degree programs in selected majors.
The university aims to attract outstanding students from around the world and promote cultural diversity on campus through a wide range of academic programs in fields such as engineering, computer science, science, business administration, agriculture, architecture and planning, and health sciences, according to the specific requirements of each admission track.
This opportunity is suitable for non-Saudi students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Saudi Arabia, whether through a scholarship or through paid admission to the available programs.
Types of Admission Available for Non-Saudi Students
First: Non-resident Students Outside Saudi Arabia
Students who are not residing in the Kingdom can apply through two tracks:
- External scholarships.
- Paid bachelor’s programs in health sciences.
Second: Non-Saudi Students Residing Inside Saudi Arabia
Residents inside the Kingdom can apply through two tracks:
- Internal scholarships.
- Paid bachelor’s degree programs.

Monthly Stipend Amount
External scholarship students receive a monthly stipend according to their academic level and field of study, as follows:
- SAR 1,000 per month for undergraduate students in scientific majors.
- SAR 850 per month for undergraduate students in theoretical majors.
- SAR 900 per month for graduate students.
Eligibility criteria
Requirements for External Scholarships for Students from Outside Saudi Arabia
- Applicants must have a high school certificate or its equivalent from their country.
- The certificate must be recognized and qualify the applicant for admission to the required program.
- Applicants must have a valid SAT score of at least 1010.
- Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years old.
- No more than 5 years must have passed since obtaining the high school certificate.
- Applicants must obtain approval from the government of their country to study in Saudi Arabia, if this is required in their country.
- Applicants must not have received another scholarship from any educational institution inside Saudi Arabia.
- Certificates and documents must be authenticated by the relevant authorities according to the university’s requirements.
- Applicants must not have been dismissed from any educational institution in Saudi Arabia.
- Applicants must not be currently enrolled in another university inside or outside Saudi Arabia.
- Applicants must not have previously obtained a bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must pass the medical examination.
- The university may require a recommendation from an organization, institution, or well-known figure.
- Applicants must pass the personal interview for admission to the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry.
- Applicants must pass the written test for admission to the College of Architecture and Planning.
Requirements for Internal Scholarships for Non-Saudi Residents Inside Saudi Arabia
- The applicant must be non-Saudi and residing inside the Kingdom.
- The applicant must have a valid legal residency permit.
- The applicant must have a high school certificate or its equivalent from inside or outside Saudi Arabia.
- If the certificate was obtained from outside Saudi Arabia, it must be accredited by the Ministry of Education.
- No more than 5 years must have passed since obtaining the high school certificate.
- Applicants must have valid scores in the General Aptitude Test and Achievement Test from Qiyas, according to the admission criteria of the required program.
- Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years old.
- Applicants must pass the personal interview for some programs, such as Medicine and Dentistry.
- Applicants must pass the written test for the College of Architecture and Planning.
- Applicants must be medically fit and able to complete the program requirements.
- Applicants must not have been dismissed from King Saud University or any other academic institution for disciplinary or academic reasons.
- Applicants must not be currently enrolled in another university inside or outside Saudi Arabia.
- Applicants must not have previously obtained a bachelor’s degree.
