Macadam is an independent cultural center in Italy, dedicated to supporting mobile arts and artists from around the world through organizing events, festivals, and creative spaces. The center is currently launching a new project to transform an apartment into a permanent art residency to support its ongoing cultural and artistic activities.
About the Volunteering
The Macadam team is looking for volunteers via the Worldpackers platform to contribute to renovating and improving the apartment that will serve as a permanent art residency. The volunteer will be part of a creative and dynamic community, bringing their ideas and hands-on skills to bring the project to life.

Duties & responsibilities
Assisting in renovation, repair, and interior improvements.
Supporting the team in event preparation and organization within the art residency.
Performing basic housekeeping tasks such as weekly cleaning, waste disposal, and grocery organization.
Coordinating weekly meetings with other volunteers.
Taking care of indoor plants.
Helping welcome and orient new volunteers.
Eligibility criteria
Aged between 19 and 40.
Intermediate English or basic Italian proficiency.
Possess manual or artistic skills in construction, renovation, or interior design (preferred).
Open-minded, positive attitude, and willingness to collaborate in a multicultural team.
Individuals, couples, or volunteer partners are all welcome.
