Körber-Stiftung

Körber Foundation is a German nonprofit foundation established in 1959 by entrepreneur Kurt A. Körber. Operating from its offices in Hamburg and Berlin, the foundation implements national and international projects and initiatives aimed at addressing contemporary social challenges. The foundation focuses on areas such as education, science, democracy and social cohesion, history and politics, international affairs, culture, aging, and demography. It also organizes prominent awards and research programs, including the German Thesis Award, which honors the best doctoral theses in Germany with a focus on the social relevance of scientific research.
