About the organization

UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, established in 1945 with the aim of promoting peace and sustainable development through education, science, culture, and the protection of human and natural heritage. UNESCO works with 193 member states to advance education for all, support scientific research, protect biodiversity and heritage sites, and encourage cultural dialogue and exchange. It also implements youth programs and initiatives to enhance young people’s participation in global issues such as sustainable development and climate change.
