The Marketing Department at the Business School at the University of Jordan is offering a 2 years master's program in Business Administration/ Marketing.
Program Overview
This program aims to excellence through the provision of programs selected with great care and high quality to provide the marketplace with creative marketers equipped with the highest skills and capabilities needed to successfully compete in the marketplace.
The department seeks to educate and teach students to work in various marketing functions by creating an intellectual environment that enables students to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of marketing professionally and ethically to achieve success in the changing marketing environment.
The MSc in marketing program aims to provide students who aspire to be highly capable marketing professionals with advanced marketing knowledge and necessary skills. Upon completion of the program:
- Students will be able to apply marketing concepts, principles, and theories to implement effective marketing operations.
- Students will be able to apply advanced analytical and quantitative techniques in making sound marketing decisions.
- Students will be able to analyze the impact of different market features and adapt appropriate marketing strategies and marketing decisions.
- Students will be able to assess the ethical implications of marketing decisions and be able to respond appropriately to them.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for the Master's in Marketing must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least "good" or its equivalent, from a university recognized by the University of Jordan.
- The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the priority disciplines:
- First Priority: Bachelor of Marketing.
- Second Priority: Bachelor's degree in one of the following majors: Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Management Information Systems, and Business Information Systems.
- Third priority: Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: public administration, economics, hotel management, agriculture, tourism and antiquities, information technology, and actuarial sciences.
- The applicant must pass the equivalent English language test (TOEFL or the national exam) or its equivalent, according to the foundations approved by the Council of Deans.
Course Structure
The marketing department master's program has two track paths; the first is thesis based, while the other is the comprehensive exam track.
To obtain a master's degree in marketing, it is incumbent on the student to complete 36 credit hours.
The thesis path includes the study of:
- 21 credits of mandatory requirements.
- 6 credits of optional requirements.
- 9 credits accredited to the dissertation.
The second path is teaching-based, in which the student is required to complete:
- 21 credits of mandatory courses.
- 6 credits of optional courses.
- 9 credits accredited for completing a compulsive accumulated exam.

Tuition Fees
Tuition fees for students registered in the Master in Marketing Program are as follows:
- 100 JD ($141) per hour for Jordanian students, which is an amount of 3,600 JD ($5,040) of tuition fees for the full duration of the program.
- 375 JD ($529) for students registered in the International Program, which is an amount of 13,500 JD ($19,044) of tuition fees for the full duration of the program and other fees that may be incurred during the study.
Scholarships
The University of Jordan offers a variety of scholarships, whether internal or from external parties, and one of these scholarships is the ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility.
The ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility, funded by the European Commission, allows master’s students to study courses in European universities that are linked to the University of Jordan through bilateral Erasmus + agreements, on the principle of student exchange, in a manner that does not contradict the instructions for granting degrees at the University of Jordan and the foundations and the rules emanating from it.
These scholarships cover monthly allowances and a contribution to the travel ticket, while the students must insure themselves healthily during their stay in the host universities according to their conditions.
