Opportunity description
Disney is offering an internship opportunity for Control Engineers who can designs and develops rides that provide memorable moving experiences to Disney’s Guests worldwide. The Studio is comprised of Controls (Software and Hardware) and Mechanical departments that work together to accomplish that goal.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of an engineering team involved in ride control system development
- Design, analyze electrical, electronic, and data communication systems
- Join a project or development team, partnered with a leader who will be your mentor
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and implement basic control system design
- Experience with programmable controllers used in machine control and robotic applications
- Ability to conduct electrical/electronic design and calculations
- Ability to prepare technical documents and CAD drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience in an engineering organization, or other organized group
- Membership or leadership in IEEE, SWE, ACM, or equivalent professional organization
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Matlab
- Control Systems Engineering experience
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the Disney internship program
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Must provide own transportation to/from work location
- Must be able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship
Required Education:
Currently enrolled, or must have graduated from an accredited college/university within the past 6 months earning a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field
