Internship at Amazon in Spain: Financial Analyst

Amazon is looking for a Finance Analyst intern to join the Finance team, based in Madrid. This finance professional will primarily focus on partnering with the business team of a fast growing and dynamic category to drive a profitability improvement project, track business performance and influence the business decisions based on in depth analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Diving deep to understand growth and profitability trends, prioritizing, company level impact while also keeping an eye to future potential impacts.
2. Partnering with finance teams across the company to consolidate insights, and provide actionable recommendations.
3. Standardizing, streamlining and prioritizing improvements, and increasing the reliability and efficiency of reporting. 
4. Driving ownership across the company and implementing continuous improvements based upon analysis and learnings.
5. Recommending improvements and providing scoping documents for systems enhancements.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or any related fields.
2. Advanced knowledge of Excel.
3. Business level of English with strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Proven capability of advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
2. Comfortable working with large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior leadership in a concise and actionable manner.
3. Leadership in taking ownership, prioritizing competing tasks, sound decision making and delivering results. 
4. Experience with SQL is a strong plus.
5. Spanish and/or Italian is a plus but not required.
