Opportunity description
UNDP is offering a great Internship opportunity for students and recent graduates (Master - PhD) to acquire direct exposure to UNDP's work. The objective of the internship is to give you a first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment of the United Nations Development Program. You will be given a real chance to work with the team. As part of the team, working directly with outstanding and inspiring career professionals and senior management, you will be exposed to high-profile conferences, participate in meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the design of visual materials (i.e. posters, roll-ups, and greeting cards).
- Support in the copywriting and production of promotional videos for digital use.
- Attend UNDP events and ensure proper media coverage is taking place.
- Scan the market for prospect media partnerships.
- Assist in social media management tasks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
- Support in conducting research and collecting data as requested.
- Provide necessary support to ensure the website is updated and fed with viable content that serves UNDP.
- Perform any other substantive and/or administrative tasks that might be required.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be enrolled in a graduate school program
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s level
- Have graduated with a university degree, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in the field of development;
- Demonstrated research and analytical capacity;
- Proven ability to manage diverse and complex tasks, with tight deadlines;
- Able to work effectively in a team and in an international environment;
- Administrative skills in the organization of meetings and events;
- Excellent written and communication skills;
- Proficiency in using standard software programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
