Internship in Spain: Operational Projects Analyst at Volotea

Volotea is looking for an Operational Projects Analyst Intern who can interact in different cultural environments, and who wants to work in a challenging high-growth environment and in a multidisciplinary role. The position will be in Barcelona’s headquarters, and the intern will report directly to the Corporate Strategy and the Project Management Office Director. 

Responsibilities:

1. Data analysis to support a strategic decision in operational transformational projects
2. Analytical support to areas in decision making
3. Value stream mapping to improve and automatize procedures with the implementation of new digital/big data tools. Automatization of semi-manual tools
4. Support PMO Manager in project profiling, timeline definition, and tracking
5. Identify implementation risks and define corrective actions
6. Provide hands-on support in specific PMO projects
7. Potential of full ownership of some projects based on merit

Requirements:

1. Top 20% academic records – grades are required to submit the application
2. Proficient analytical skills, ability to code and work with large databases is a strong plus
3. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge of Spanish, Italian and/or French is a plus
4. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Mathematics
5. Strong interest in aviation, digital tools, big data, etc.
6. A dynamic/provocative person, able to provide hands-on support as well as the ability to make things happen
7. Fast learner and willing to receive continuous feedback working with a top-notch team
8. Very structured and organized
9. Good knowledge of Office Suite is necessary (especially MS Excel). Coding knowledge for big databases is a strong plus
