Opportunity description

TASC Outsourcing are looking to hire a Retail Development Manager in Dubai with a permanent contract.

Job Details

  1. Manage, develop, and grow travel retail businesses (both retail sell-thru and sell-in, including new shop openings)
  2. To proactively plan, propose, and process purchase orders and supports necessary for customers and to ensure customers are in healthy stock positioning.
  3. Manage and motivate performances of Bas (through incentive programs, performance tracking and reviews, trainings and effective communication).
  4. Achieve retail sales results as set by the company.
  5. Communicate and implement projects as per Brand marketing strategy.
  6. Plan and execute Brand launch and promotional activities. 
  7. Ensure that the agreed promotions are well implemented as per plan (follow-up with the external vendors).
  8. Supervise Beauty Consultants, including schedules, quotas, holidays, commission payments, etc.
  9. Manage and report inventory levels, “rankings”, and review assortments per point of sale.

Responsibilities

Products:

  • Sales objectives: follow up on the Brand’s performance vs. annual objective; provide feedback and/or strategies to develop to and generate incremental sales; motivate and support the sales team on achieving monthly targets and accomplish Brand goals.
  • Timely submission of product listing forms to ensure orders are received on time.
  • Inventory levels: follow up proactively on inventory levels at POS to minimize the risk of out of stocks or inventory imbalance.  
  • Communicate and insure that purchase orders are in line with the sales objectives establish for each client.
  • Coordinate with local team (store managers and supervisors) on the maintenance, development, and follow up of stock levels per point of sale.
  • Follow up on discontinued references according to established strategy.
  • Support in presenting new products at regional, local level.
  • Support and insure the listing of new product references at local level.
  • Support in providing sales forecast for new promotional programs.
  • Organize product launch and promotions at store level.

Merchandising:

  • Maintain Brand image standards and improve brand visibility: “counters”, gondolas, visuals, merchandising, product catalogs, and testers.
  • Ensure space and location agreements are respected at POS level and taken action to implement according to agreements.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain product range according to each account strategy.    
  • Visit points of sale to provide Merchandising support. Plan, implement, and update planograms at POS level.

Training:

  • Ensure the level of performance for Beauty Advisor/sales team is at its highest level.  Organize and facilitate product and sales training accordingly.
  • Responsible for the BA sales team hiring, OTJ training, and performance evaluation processes. 

Local sales team management:

  • Ensure that BAs are clear on their job responsibilities and performance objectives: establish targets (previously aligned with Regional Head),  provide input to the Brand strategy and marketing calendar, and promotional activities and contests support the achievement of these targets.
  • Monitor monthly Beauty Advisor performance. Provide training to ensure sales tools are implemented according established Brand strategies.
  • Beauty Advisor tools management: update BAs uniform and “gratis” program and coordinate accordingly with the Geneva team.
  • Manage BAs work Schedule to ensure and maximize performance according to the store peak times and peak seasons.
  • Beauty Advisor appearance and presentation: Ensure the Beauty Advisor physical appearance is in line with the company guidelines.
  • Training, Evaluation, Development: Work closely with the Training Manager to ensure specific staff trainings according to the Brand needs and strategy.

Promotional Activities:

  • Manage the operational process, coordinate and execute the Brand promotional calendar for each client at store level.
  •  Manage the receipt and distribution of all collateral material belonging to promotions.
  • Coordinate decoration of all promotional and product launch activities
  • Follow up the progress and results of promotions in the region. Provide sales target to Beauty Advisors per promotional activity. Monitor results accordingly and inform sales results  when promotion is over, including photos.     
  • Execute marketing program / incentives: Spiffs, GWPS, contests, communication leaflets. Coordinate and follow through with results, and gifts accordingly.

Reports:

  • Provide monthly reports with an update on the Brand performance (+/-) in each account. Report should be qualitative and quantitative.
  • Prepare and provide commission reports on the BAs.
  • Manage and control costs effectively.
  • Monthly Competitive Report.

Contacts:

  • Internal: BAs, Travel Retail Sales and Marketing.
  • External: Major accounts, shop managers, Suppliers.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  1. Language: Fluent in English, other languages (Arabic) are highly appreciated.
  2. IT skills: Excellent PC skills in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  3. Personal Skills: Strong analytical skills.
  4. Curious, pro-active, self-starter.
  5. Hands on Team player while able to work autonomously.
  6. Inter-Personal Skills: Strong communicator, internally and externally.
                                      Strong negotiator and influencing skills.
  7. Other: Travel will be required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree.
  • Three years of experience in a similar position in the Travel Retail industry.
