Airbus a global leader and a pioneer in aeronautics is offering a job opportunity in UK as a Public Affair Manager to join Airbus team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key UK public policy civil aerospace issues.You will also work alongside other members of the Airbus in the UK Public Affairs team on political contact programmes, events and other policy issues as directed. The post will be based in London, but it is anticipated that there will be travel required to Airbus sites in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.
Tasks & accountabilities:
Main activities of the role may include;
- Analyse public policy issues of relevance to civil aerospace and air transport policy for Airbus. Develop position papers and make recommendations for lobbying positions
- Provide strategic advice on UK parliamentary affairs to Airbus Public Affairs team and senior management.
- Represent Airbus on external committees eg. ADS, CBI, Sustainable Aviation and other industry groupings. This will require the post holder to speak on behalf of the company at a relatively senior level.
- Working closely with Airbus Global Public Affairs team, ensure that DIT/BEIS/DfT and other relevant stakeholders are aware of commercial sales campaigns, seeking diplomatic support if necessary. Organise briefings on regular basis.
- Working alongside other Public Affairs colleagues, manage co-ordination of the Public Affairs agency. Act as regular interface and ensure supplier is managed in professional and efficient way.
- Prepare reports and analysis as required for Airbus Public Affairs eg weekly parliamentary round-up, political issues summaries

Required skills:
- Experience with policy research and/or parliamentary relations.
- Would consider candidates who have good Airbus business experience and knowledge.
- Signatory (or intent to) to APPC Public Affairs “Code of Conduct”.
- Knowledge of, and passion for British politics.
