The School of Construction Technology & Built Environment at Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU) in Amman invites applications for multiple faculty positions in architectural and civil engineering starting Fall Semester 2019/2020 at the rank of Assistant Professor and/or Associate Professor.
He/she will play a key role in supporting the School in achieving its mission and vision for its undergraduate programs. He/she is expected to teach a typical load of three to four units per semester, in addition to participating in curriculum development, quality assurance and accreditation, community and industrial outreach and research.
Qualifications
Successful candidates should have:
- Teaching experience in internationally-accredited English- speaking universities,
- Profound professional experience in the construction industry,
- Solid publication record,
- Candidates must have established or exhibited the potential to establish a strong, externally sponsored research program.
Position Descriptions
[1] Architectural Engineering:
Applicants must hold B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in architectural engineering from a top-ranked English-speaking institution of higher education, and possess strong expertise in one or more areas: construction technology and building systems, construction management, BIM, HVAC, architectural acoustics and lighting systems, and related subjects in smart and green building engineering. Candidates with international professional certification in these fields have priority and are more favorite for the position.
[2] Civil Engineering:
Applicants must hold B. Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in civil engineering from top-ranked English-speaking institutions of higher education, and possess strong expertise in one or more areas: structures & mechanics, transportation engineering, construction management. Candidates with the ability to teach in multiple areas of civil engineering and across engineering majors are especially encouraged to apply.
