Opportunity description
Zain Jordan offers a job opportunity as a Convergent Charging Engineer in Amman, Jordan. The Convergent Charging Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining Zain’s Charging System platforms as well as analyzing customer subscription products and services and recommending new initiatives in addition to resolving fraud-related issues, revenue assurance discrepancies, and generating different statistics and KPIs to maintain the performance of the systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operating, maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting the Convergence Charging System platforms including the Provisioning system, Voucher System, Zain USSD, etc.
- Analyzing current products and services and recommending initiatives that aim to improve them, as well as evaluating and delivering new products and services and supporting the implementation process.
- Programming scripts to amend and improve charging system platforms’ functionality, as well as debugging programs and reporting faults.
- Studying the capacity of systems within the given domain and associated platforms and reporting required alterations and necessary developments.
- Collaborating with the Marketing function to implement and deploy new changes related to Business configuration and to ensure functionality of related operations.
- Handling charging operations through CRM and USSD interfaces as well as performing routine checkups and resolving any problems that may arise.
- Following up on customer’s problems and complaints, as well as handling any fraud related issues or revenue assurance discrepancies and contributing to the prevention of associated causes.
- Analyzing marketing requirements, generating related figures and statistics, as well as establishing charging systems’ KPIs to maintain performance of the charging function.
- Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Preferred: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent professional certificate.
- Strong Unix/Linux and Windows skills. Experience with shell and another scripting language(s) would be beneficial.
- Technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills, project management, and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
- Experience with Java or other object oriented languages.
- Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Knowledge of IP networks and other common core internet technologies.
