Opportunity description

The Royal Film Commission in Amman, Jordan is seeking a qualified Regional Training Department Assistant to join the team in 2019. The assistant will be reporting directly to the Regional Training Department Manager and will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the department’s programs including Rawi Screenwriters Lab, Med Film Factory, Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Anthology program. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting in implementing procedures, practices and processes to meet operational, logistics and service needs
  2. Assisting in the coordination of all administrative and legal contracting with the Head of the Department and with RFC's legal advisor
  3. Liaising with RFC’s Administration Department regarding seeking price offers, travel, bookings, purchasing, quotations, catering and logistics for all projects and programs
  4. Assisting in interrelated correspondence with the team members, applicants and participants
  5. Assisting in breaking down applications and identifying their missing material. Responsibility for preparing all administrative documents relevant to the department’s projects and programs
  6. Responsibility for filing all documents relevant to the department’s projects and programs
  7. Assisting in drafting administrative correspondence with the team members and interlocutors as needed
  8. Assisting in providing general and specific information for the department’s reporting, monthly, annual and upon request. Assisting in updating the content related to the Regional Training programs for social media and the RFC website in correlation with the other departments
  9. Working with the financial department to help set up financial reports, monthly, annual and upon request
  10. Coordinating and translating publication materials with related parties such as participants and RFC’s other departments
  11. Attending workshops, venues, and events as required by projects and Project Manager;  this might include overnight stay
  12. Performing other administrative and logistical tasks or duties that may be assigned by the Manager

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's in business administration or any relevant field
  2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  3. Excellent communication and writing skills in Arabic and in English. French and/or German is a plus
  4. Experience in filmmaking and knowledge of film production and culture is a plus
  5. Capacity to work autonomously and under pressure
  6. Excellent team player
  7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  8. Flexible and creative
