Job Opportunity as a Data Analyst with Chalhoub Group in the UAE 2021

Chalhoub Group is looking for a Data Analyst to join the team and work in United Arab Emirates for 2021. 

Responsibilities:

1. Build the analytic capabilities and developing a unified view of The Deal's end-to-end performance, and deliver key insights to the business that make significant impacts.
2. Increasing the productivity of day to day operations by harnessing data to simplify, improve UX, automate, reduce errors and accelerate time-to-value.
3. Collaborate with multi-functional teams (Commercials, Consumer Research, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, IT, Sales, and Supply Chain).
4. Deliver actionable insights from data and the championing their use to drive value, across several business domains including Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics Distribution, E-Commerce, Omnichannel, Finance, Marketing and Digital.
5. Predicting and forecasting potential outcomes, to support marketing spend and campaigns, stock allocation, financial decisions (pricing, margin, pullout, etc.). 
6. Data-driven recommendations to optimize productivity, value and customer delight.
7. Establish data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and analytic tools (R, SAS, JMP, Python, Spark, etc.) to grasp the business insights.
8. Perform detailed analysis and provide KPIs/metrics to Group leadership and executive stakeholders as needed.
9. Identifying new opportunities and business use cases to generate value.
10. Working with the core data team to operationalize and deliver impact through data products.
11. Championing the growth of trustworthy data critical to operations.
12. Keeping your knowledge up to date via training and on the job learning.
13. Being a positive ambassador of the broader data organisation and culture.

Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to get clear value out of data.
2. Ability to prioritise business needs and focus on the impactful opportunities.
3. A talent to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
4. Willingness to do some foundational “heavy lifting” in automating reporting and dashboarding, to enable business users to self-serve, prior to accelerating value through advanced techniques.
5. First-hand experience of advanced analytics / machine learning concepts and techniques and their application to business decisions.
6. Ability to interpret business questions and provide solutions through appropriate analytics models.
7. (Desirable) Experience of Google Cloud Platform, Google Big Query and Looker software.
8. The curiosity and hunger to deliver true transformational change.
