Job Opportunity as a Data Architect at Chalhoub Group 2020

Chalhoub Group is looking for a Data Architect to work with the E-commerce team for 2020. As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the Group not only have a  comprehensive understanding of data, but that it uses this to build high quality  data products using integrated data.

Responsibilities:

1. Cataloguing and organising data sources across the business by domain.
2. Modelling the data domains to clarify what data the group has and what it means.  
3. Exploring data sources to understand whether they can add value to products.   
4. Mapping the data product vision to the required data models and sources.  
5. Defining best practices and patterns for data ingestion and transformation.  
6. Working with the data engineers to ingest, transform, and provision new data.  
7. Championing a Data-as-an-Asset mindset across the group; training the team.  
8. Promoting a good understanding of the quality and consent of data assets.  
9. Establishing data partnerships with third parties  to enrich data assets.  
10. Keeping your technical knowledge up to date via trainings and other methods. 

Eligibility criteria: 

1. Demonstrated team player who genuinely enjoys working with other people.
2. Strong SQL skills, with prior experience in ingesting, organising, and serving data. 
3. Proven ability to work with non-technical  stakeholders to architect their data.  
4. Good understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform.  
5. A hunger to deliver true transformational change.
