Opportunity description

The Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is looking for qualified, innovative Focused, energetic and responsible candidates for the position of Database Administrator.

Responsibilities:

[1] Install, configure and upgrade database serves

[2] Plan and review database storage requirements

[3] Manage and implement patches and fixes to database

[4]Convert / migrate data across system

[5] Design and implement necessary modifications to enable databases accommodate newly introduced structures or changes

[6] Comply with standards and policies and procedures

[7] Maintain database integrity and security

[8] Manage database users and responsibilities

[9] Monitor growth and health of database and tune their performance

[10] Support development team and other users in relevant issues

[11] Plan and manage database availability

[12] Define and implement database backup policies

[14] Manage database archives and restore database when necessary

[15] Generate relevant reports

Qualifications:

[1] Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or other related business specialization from a reputed university is a must. Preference for Master’s degrees, and or professional qualifications in Oracle products.

[2] No less than ten years of solid relevant experience mainly in database and systems administration in Oracle environment and applications for banking, investments, statistics, and HR preferably in financial organizations.

[3] Adequate communication skills and technical expertise to engage and cooperate with operations and development teams.

[4] The database administrator is also expected to enable and support development and maintenance teams in relevant database activities.

[5] Ability to provide technical advice and participate in departmental and organization wide studies and research to assist in planning, coordinating, evaluating and implementing IT projects as the need arises.

[6] Good command of Arabic and English.
