Opportunity description

Oxfam is looking for a Funding Co-ordinator to work with the Country Programme team to proactively fundraise for the Syria programme; support and capacitate the building of the programme teams; assist the country office in planning, securing and managing restricted funds; and to ensure that donor procedures and processes are adhered to.

Eligibility criteria:

[1] University Education and/or substantial experience of working with INGO’s in the following specialisation: M&E, funding and/or programming.

[2] Demonstrable experience of planning for, securing, and managing funds from institutional donors, such as DFID, ECHO, SIDA, GAC and UN agencies.

[3] High level of analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to research, analyse, and report.

[4] Knowledge of Project Cycle Management with previous field experience.

[5] Excellent written skills with proven ability to develop and present proposals and donor reports, for both internal and external audiences.

[6] Strong numeracy and financial skills, particularly in developing budgets, financial management/monitoring, and reporting.

[7] Experience in staff management, capacity building, coaching, and delivering training at an individual and group level.

[8] Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and relationship skills with the ability to influence external organizations and individuals. Also, the ability to work effectively with others in diverse team situations to achieve fundraising targets.

[9] Information management and IT skills with attention to detail to develop and analyse donor budgets and financial reports; and to develop, maintain, and give guidance on electronic/manual contract management and reporting systems.

[10] Self-motivated, target-driven, and a proactive approach to funding.

[11] Ability to manage his/her time effectively.

[12] Fluency in written and spoken English.

[13] Gender knowledge and cultural sensitivity with a strong commitment and understanding of Oxfam’s values and principles.
