Job Opportunity as a Junior Buyer for Boys Wear with a £35,000 Salary in Dubai

Quest Search and Selection invites Junior Buyers to apply for a job at a well-known retailer based in Dubai and join a team in the Boys department within Childrenswear. A buyer is a person who selects what items should be stocked on the basis of his/her expectations to what will the customers buy the most. Junior Buyers are the key in sourcing a commercial range to exceed the sales expectations, that is why the role needs a person who understands the full buying process working with factories in order to gain best costs and achieve margins. 

Responsibilities:

[1] Sourcing and building a balanced, commercial, and profitable range

[2] Ensuring the smooth running of the department and working on the critical path management

[3] Identifying new trends and opportunities to grow sales and profit

[4] Maintaining and continually building strong relationships with lateral teams

[5] Negotiating cost prices with suppliers and identifying new suppliers

[6] Evaluating sales history and customer information together with trends to develop a strategy

[7] Working with factories and ensuring all samples and bulk production is on time as per business needs

Skills and experience needed:

[1] Senior Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer experience is essential

[2] Boyswear or Childrenswear or Kidswear experience is essential

[3] A full understanding of the Buying and Merchandising Lifecycle

[4] Understanding of product development is necessary

[5] Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to converse at all levels including Senior Management

[6] Excellent negotiation skills working with Far East Suppliers

[7] Awareness of trend and product

[8] Constantly seeking opportunities for development and taking on tasks above and beyond the current role

Benefits:
