Job Opportunity as a Lighter at Walt Disney to the US

Walt Disney Animation Studios is seeking artists who thrive in a team environment to join the Disney team as Lighters at their Burbank, CA studio. Lighters are an integral part of the storytelling process, using their keen eye to manipulate color and light to emphasize shifts of mood, both subtle and dynamic. They are are responsible for lighting, rendering, and compositing shots together with both character and environment renders into a final frame until it meets the vision of the Director, Production Designer, and Director of Cinematography.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field and have a strong understanding of color, contrast, and lighting design. They are also required to have experience in production with 3D lighting, global illumination lighting such as V-Ray, Arnold or similar, and a strong knowledge of Unix and/or Linux.
