Opportunity description

Orange company offers a job opportunity as an Snr Engineering Expert. Attached to the private engineering team, you will join an infrastructure team of around twenty engineers, experts in virtualization, storage, and hyper-convergence solutions.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:  

  1. Provide Level-3 (Expert) support of virtualization, storage, and hyper-convergence solutions.
  2. Design, implement and integrate open hybrid cloud technologies for the ACUD project.
  3. Provide knowledge transfer to the Level-2 teams.
  4. Provide On-Call support on a request basis.
  5. Product industrialization (Market watch, Product Study, Release Management, L2 Knowledge Transfer, Service Management).
  6. Validate the customer requirements & work on the customer design & Prepare the Low-Level design.
  7. Provide support to the Pre-Sales teams for validating the build process.
  8. Build & integration support for TTM and complex customer projects.
  9. Perform the initial deployment and validation of hardware, firmware, and hypervisors (bare-metal). 
  10. Follow the complete Life-Cycle of problem management.
  11. Provide support on the anomaly requests raised by support teams(L2), CTS2 teams (L1), and IT- Customer Service Managers (IT-CSMs)
  12. Develop and implement automation and integration for the cloud and system infrastructure solutions of our customers.
  13. Understanding of problem management process & procedures.
  14. Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all major problems, provide corrective actions.
  15. Regular follow-up with the L2 teams, L1 teams and IT-CSMs on the improvement plans for the workaround/resolution provided.
  16. Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of all Orange Business Services products, services, and solution sets.
  17. Maintain a thorough understanding of the tools, systems, and processes required to provide quality customer support.
  18. Effective customer satisfaction by delivery of cloud projects with the right quality and on time.
  19. Quality of support within the time schedule.
  20. Knowledge Transfer/Sharing, L2 Handover.
  21. Effectiveness of solutions/support.
  22. Validation of new products and major releases related to cloud systems with subsequent documentation.
  23. Contribution towards problem management process.
  24. Level 3 (L3) support.
  25. Root cause analysis reports on critical and major incidents.
  26. Communication with all the stakeholders.
  27. Knowledge base and known error database.
  28. Ensure that the Level-2 teams are adopting the new technologies that are added to the product catalog.
  29. Ensure consistent Level-3 support to Level-2 systems teams and customers.
  30. Ensure the development and maintenance of the service and product catalog.
  31. Ensure systems are available, reliable, and work at optimum performance.
  32. Management of mean time to restore service targets.
  33. Provision of technical consultancy to development plans and projects.
  34. Ensure legal requirements are adhered to for the licensing.
  35. Provision of the effective and efficient running of the systems and ensure its optimum performance.
  36. Regularly upload technical instructions in OCB ASKIT.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • University degree in Engineering or Science, Master degree in Computer Science/Applications or BS Computer or equivalent with +4/5 years of experience with significant experience in the field of virtualization.
  • Technically passionate, master VMware products (NSX, vRA, vRO), ideally with certifications.
  • A plus would be the mastery of storage techniques (NAS, SAN).
  • A good sense of interpersonal and communication skills, are a force for proposal and demonstrate a spirit of analysis, synthesis, and responsiveness.
  • Fluent in English.
