Cultural Vistas is offering full-time teaching positions in the United States for those who want to take their teaching career to the next level with the Teach USA program. Teach USA provides experienced foreign educators with the opportunity to explore new educational and cultural environments through this position. The duration of each teaching program is determined by the host school, but usually programs can last up to 3 years. The State Department may consider an extension beyond maximum time allowed for an addition 2 years (for a maximum of five years).
Applicants must:
[1] Not be US citizens with minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience at K-12 schools outside of the US
[2] Meet the qualifications for teaching in primary or secondary schools in his/her own country of nationality or previous legal residence
[3] At a minimum possess the equivalent of a 4-year university degree
[4] Satisfy the teaching standards of the US state in which he/she will teach
[5] Have a formal written offer from a US primary or secondary school
[6] Be proficient in English as determined by an online interview
[7] Be of good reputation and character
[8] Return to their home country to fulfill the exchange, and may not return to the US on a J-1 for teachers for at least 2 years
Teachers will receive:
[1] J-1 Visa sponsorship (up to three years) for full-time paid teaching positions at accredited K-12 schools where a need for educators exists
[2] Flexibility to sponsor programs from most countries in most fields
[3] Issuance of the “Certificate of Eligibility for J-1 Visa” (Form DS-2019)
[4] Options for expedited service guaranteeing completed applications are evaluated in five business days
[5] Host organization and applicant vetting
[6] Comprehensive health and medical insurance and 24-hour emergency support for applicants and host schools
[7] Cultural and educational activities and networking events in select cities
[8] Access to free tax software
[9] Exposure to American teaching methods while host schools bring a fresh perspective and valuable viewpoints into U.S. classrooms
