Job Opportunity as a Tram Driver at Siemens in Qatar 2018

The Siemens Tram Consortium is looking for a Tram Driver who will be responsible for driving the tram vehicle along QEC PMS corridor in a safe and punctual way in compliance with the company’s safety and operations rules and regulations, while providing a high standard of customer service at all times.

Responsibilities:

1. Driving Trams in accordance with the company’s rules & procedures and road traffic regulations
2. Ensuring the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users
3. Providing excellent customer service at all times
4. Identifying and reporting incidents and anomalies (rolling stock and equipment) to the Operations Controllers (OMCC)
5. Perfect knowledge of QEC PMS Rolling Stock in order to conduct fault finding and rectification in compliance with operations and maintenance procedures
6. Reporting to Line Supervisors and Operations Controllers and complying with all operational orders and directives given
7. Communicating clearly and effectively with passengers and Operations Controllers
8. Assists during T&C activities
9. Provides assistance during safety & quality audits

Requirements:

1. A good physical condition (Meets requirements of Fitness Class 1)
2. 21 years or above
3. 1.60m minimum height
4. Minimum 10 years of successful school education
5. Minimum 2 years of experience as either a tram, train, metro or bus driver
6. Good understanding of rail public transport operations process and Rules & Procedures
7. Good analysis and reporting skills
8. Ability to work under pressure while complying with rules & procedures
9. Good command of spoken and written English language
10. Ability to comply with rules & procedures
11. Ability to adapt quickly to changes to operational situations
12. Holder of a valid motor vehicle driving license (Bus / Truck)
13. Defensive driving
14. Possesses the military exemption
